Join Mind & Life for GivingTuesday! GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good. Over nine years, the idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Through generosity and compassion towards ourselves, others, and the Earth, we each hold the power to make positive change. Below are just a few of the ways that Mind & Life works to foster insights and inspire action toward a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world.

Our new Inspiring Minds series of online conversations brings together influential thought leaders and contemplatives to inspire us to be a force for positive change.

In its first season, the Mind & Life Podcast was ranked in the top 10% of all podcasts! Said one listener: “I’m interested in neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, and mindfulness. This podcast brings all of it together.”

In 2019, Mind & Life awarded grants totaling $785,000 to support leading-edge research into the use of contemplative practice to build resilience among climate change activists, strengthen the ability of peacebuilders to deliver trauma-sensitive training, and more.

Our 2020 Summer Research Institute, hosted online, welcomed researchers, contemplatives, and activists from 23 countries and 6 continents to exchange ideas and research on pro-sociality.

Over 1.4 million people tuned into our Conversation with the Dalai Lama in June as we reflected on resilience, compassion, and science for healing today.

At Mind & Life, we bring science and contemplative wisdom together to better understand the mind and create positive change in the world. Donating now and on GivingTuesday will help us develop programming to diversify the field and support young investigators, produce content that deepens understanding of our interconnection, and inspire others to be a force for good in their community.

In the spirit of the GivingTuesday initiative, please consider making a donation or through being a goodwill ambassador in your community—whether helping a neighbor, sharing a skill, or giving to a cause. Every act of generosity counts.
