Catherine Kerr Award for Courageous and Compassionate Science
The Catherine Kerr Award for Courageous and Compassionate Science was established in memory of the late Cathy Kerr, to honor her remarkable contributions to the Mind & Life community. It is awarded biennially to a researcher from any academic discipline who 1) has made significant contributions to the contemplative sciences, and 2) exemplifies the qualities and character that Cathy brought to her work, including bold innovation, imagination, courage, authenticity and heartfulness.
Each recipient will deliver a distinguished lecture during Mind & Life’s International Symposium for Contemplative Research (ISCR), and will receive free registration, travel and accommodations for ISCR, along with a cash award.
Review of nominees will occur on a biennial basis. (The nomination process is currently closed and will re-open in the summer of 2019.) Winners will be announced approximately one year before each ISCR.
