Inspiring Minds – November 2020

Yoga as a Tool for Social Change

Inspiring Minds: Live Conversations Offering Wisdom for Our Time

Our November Inspiring Minds conversation “Yoga as a Tool for Social Change” features Richard Freeman and Gail Parker, along with pianist/composer Peter Kater. Mind & Life Program Manager Shankari Goldstein is the host for the series.

The conversation on November 18 from 2-3:15pm ET explored how embodied yoga practices can lead to greater self-awareness and agency in contributing to a better world. Among the questions discussed were:

  • How can developing our capacity for self-reflection help us to wake up in the modern world and deal constructively with the challenges we face?
  • How can embodied yoga practices help us heal emotional wounds and live with greater compassion and love?
