A Conversation with Thupten Jinpa

Join us on Wednesday, August 6 as the Mind & Life Institute lifts up the yearlong celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday and his extraordinary scientific legacy through the release of a special tribute.
As visionary co-founder of Mind & Life, the Dalai Lama fostered the unprecedented dialogue between Buddhist wisdom and modern science with the goal of inspiring mind-based approaches to alleviate suffering and promote well-being. Over time, this pioneering work advanced scientific understanding of the human mind and its potential, giving rise to the academic field of contemplative research.
To honor this remarkable journey, Mind & Life President Suzanne Bond will interview Board Chair Thupten Jinpa, who will share inspiring moments in the coming together of these two investigative traditions to explore humanity’s deepest questions. Woven throughout will be images and rare footage of people and events that contributed to the birth of the modern mindfulness movement.
We invite you to view their conversation on Facebook or livestreamed on this webpage.
