Lessons in Patience

Dear friends,

I am writing to thank all of you for your comments and viewing of the BLOG, and also to ask for your kind patience as we work diligently, practicing mindful breathing as best we can, to surmount certain technical difficulties needed to bring you the interviews on movie format.  The movies exceed local bandwidth considerably so we are working diligently to get these to you. Please stay tuned and exercise the patience of a parent of small children!

With metta,

My computer has told me that the videos are not compatable with MacIntosh. I sincerely hope this is not correct, because I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

I thought it was my Mac also, that it was “deficient”…. I’ve been set to take it to the Apple store

on my street this morning. Maybe it is Not deficient, maybe now it is just impatient? It just

needs to practice. So looking forward while remaining patient. Thank you!

I have been a student of the mind body connection for years. I am so grateful for this opportunity. Thanks for your efforts!

Patience is important to people with disabilities. I experienced it myself because I am hearing impaired (nerve loss from birth). Everywhere in life patience is a good quality but sometimes hard to master in difficult situations!

    Dear,

Thank you so much. The video may take a lot bandwidth but the audio may be a good choice for many people. I ussually listen instead of “see”.

I hope that you can rip it out and then post it up.

    Robert,
Talk to the folks at Tibetn Dialectics about recording. Their office is across the street and up the stairs from the main entrance to the temple. (Where all the computers and email stations are. I think they record all of HH webcasts; teachings. These have been silmultaneously broadcast for several years now without any problem. If they are not doing it now, they will know who is. This should not be a problem as they have been doing this for several years now for teachings and the last sets have been very professional.
You can also ask Tenzin Geysche he is HH assistant, he may know eactly who to contact.

    Margery,

You have an Apple Store??! Please let us know what they say. I can not get any audio or video

  10. William Clements says:

There should be a way around Mac’s QuickTime inability to play these videos, i.e., added plug-ins, etc. I haven’t had time to research it yet.

  11. Brenda Loew says:

So looking forward to reading more ! [Also a Mac user, however....] Great gratitude & deep bow, Brenda

  15. Most venerable Mac users of Quicktime lineage must respect the Bill Gates school of Windows lineage for over 30 years, nearly one and a half generations, we have been studying the operating systems of the ancients. We have found them to be unfamiliar, incompatible, and incomprehensible. Therefore, we are proposing scrapping the blogosphere in favor of the ball point pen and loose leaf paper. This has been tried before on many occasions such as this, with favorable results. It is most highly recommended to the committee at Dharamsala that the ink should grace the tree pulp once more.

  16. As a long time Technical Professional, who currently supports Seeds of Compassion/The Compassionate Action Network, I have *GREAT* empathy and respect for the technical challenges and obstacles that you are currently facing in streaming and blog posting from Dharamsala.

Your have my sincere admiration and utmost compassion. Warmly,
